About Woodpecker Glass

At Woodpecker Glass we create glass art in a way that adds a splash of colour to any home and garden. Based in the North Hampshire countryside, we craft pieces that often combine the beauty of glass with locally sourced, sustainable wood, provided by a local Tree Surgeon.

All items are designed and handcrafted by the owner, Samantha Stanley, from a studio in her garden. Here she is able to watch the local wildlife including a skittish Greater Spotted Woodpecker, which inspired the business name.

A love for all things glass was sparked by traditional stained glass church windows often seen in the UK and intricate glass lampshades.

Whilst the method of copper foiling to create pieces is our first love, we do create pieces in the traditional lead light style and in kiln formed glass.
